Electric Engine Manufacturing Technician

W2 Contract This role involves hands-on assembly of electric engines for a leading eVTOL vendor's aircraft, requiring a technician to meticulously follow work instructions, utilize manual and semi-automated equipment, and troubleshoot processes. The position demands experience in mechanical and electronic assembly, proficient use of metrology tools, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and adherence to safety protocols, all while maintaining high workmanship standards and detailed documentation. What You’ll Do: Work closely with the engineering teams to support equipment bring-up and process validation Use manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment to build electric engines which includes inverters, gearboxes, and motors Troubleshoot equipment and processes Debug electric engines Build basic lab fixtures and tools Perform routine maintenance on equipment Perform inspections and measurements of product dimensions using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometer, depth gauges, measurement microscope, etc.) What You Need: Associate's Degree, or 5+ years in manufacturing industry Direct hands-on build experience with mechanical and electronic assemblies using technical documentation High workmanship standards Ability to follow formal build instructions and document deviations Excellent documentation and written communication; proficient using Microsoft Office Basic knowledge of drafting standards (read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings) to produce parts and assemblies Experience using measurement and inspection (caliper, micrometer, height gage, CMM, etc.) Familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization methods Experience following all aspects of maintenance safety protocol (LOTO, 5S, Arc Flash, etc.) Bonus Qualifications: IPC Certification or knowledge Experience working with an R&D environment Seniority level:
