Senior Research Scientist - Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine Location: Augusta University Full Time | Non-tenure track faculty Job ID: 246048 | Position: 20000930 Responsibilities
Work independently under the direction of Dr. Qin Wang and conduct cutting-edge research in brain aging, complex behavior and cognition, and neuroinflammation. Train and supervise postdocs, students, and technical staff; design and execute research projects; perform data analysis; write manuscripts and publish results. Engage in collaborative projects and have the opportunity to apply for intramural and extramural grants with appropriate support. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
PhD or MD from an accredited college or university. Preferred/Additional Areas of Interest
Expertise in biochemistry, cellular biology, and brain circuit studies. Interest in receptor biology and human iPSC-based neurological disease models. Department and Facilities
The Department of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University offers access to core facilities for multiphoton/confocal and electron microscopy, small animal behavior and super-resolution imaging, genomics and proteomics, flow cytometry, and bioinformatics.
