Private Capital Fund Finance - Associate

About the Role

iCapital is seeking an Associate to join its Fund Finance Private Capital team to focus on Private Capital Fund Accounting and Administration duties. This role collaborates with team members, vendors, senior management, and clients on accounting and reporting processes. Reports to a Vice President, Fund Finance Private Equity. Responsibilities

Collaborate with iCapital’s implementation teams on new business and fund launches. Review feeder fund draft documents (LPA/PPM) and underlying fund operational questionnaires prior to fund launches; provide feedback to internal legal or fund origination teams from a fund-finance perspective. Determine commitment sizes to underlying funds and analyze feeder fund expenses. Oversee quarterly feeder fund NAV and partners’ capital account statements; track KPIs. Review and sign off on capital call and distribution cash analyses, investor allocation files, and notices prepared by third-party admins and the Fund Finance team. Participate in management-level meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Approve and release quarterly management fee payment wires. Drive process automation and efficiency by partnering with iCapital Technology and Product teams. Monitor fund compliance with the partnership operating agreement terms. Oversee the fund’s preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. 3 to 6 years of financial services or asset management accounting and operations experience. Experience with alternative investments fund administration and operations is a plus. Advanced degree and/or credentials or progress toward MBA, CPA, CFA, or CAIA is a plus. Interest in applying innovative technology. Ability to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Willingness to learn and adapt in a evolving business environment. Organized and detail-oriented with big-picture perspective. The base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $115,000. iCapital offers a compensation package that includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
