Senior Treasury Accountant role at Morehouse School of Medicine. The Senior Treasury Accountant is a critical role within our finance team, responsible for managing the company’s cash flow, investments, and banking relationships. This position will play a key role in optimizing our financial resources, mitigating risk, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities
Cash Management: Oversee daily cash positioning and forecasting to optimize cash balances. Manage bank relationships and negotiate optimal terms. Implement and maintain efficient cash forecasting models. Monitor and reconcile bank accounts. Investments: Manage the company’s investment portfolio, including fixed income and short-term investments. Conduct investment analysis and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with investment policies and regulations. Treasury Operations: Process wire transfers, ACH payments, and other treasury transactions. Manage foreign exchange transactions. Monitor and reconcile intercompany loans and transfers. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to treasury activities. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings. Analyze financial data and provide insights to management. Risk Management: Identify and assess treasury risks, such as liquidity, interest rate, and foreign exchange risks. Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls. Monitor market trends and economic indicators to anticipate potential risks. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of experience in treasury or corporate finance. Strong understanding of treasury operations, cash management, and investments. Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. CPA or CTP certification preferred. Preferred Qualifications
