Strategic Account Manager
Checkmarx is seeking a talented Strategic Account Manager to support our Sales activities. You will manage, orchestrate, and source accounts and prospects, impacting revenue by handling multiple sales opportunities and strategic accounts in your assigned region (US). This is a fast-paced role with uncapped earnings potential for a self-motivated individual. How you will make an impact
Identify, develop, and manage multiple sales opportunities and strategic accounts in your assigned region Solve customer business and technical problems using a proven value-selling methodology (e.g., MEDDIC) Develop comprehensive sales and business plans within specific accounts Manage expectations through routine, thorough contact with target markets Develop engaging discovery processes to uncover account opportunities Establish a trusted-partner relationship with target markets Solicit and define account vision and technology expectations Coordinate internal resources to broaden and deepen account relationships Work with management to develop compelling proposals and contracts timely Develop deep expertise in company solutions Identify opportunities for new solutions or project approaches for each target account Recommend effective solutions, processes, and techniques to accounts Stay current on industry trends and integrate innovative approaches into solutions Prepare engaging account presentations to create demand and expand penetration Maintain timely and accurate account documentation in Salesforce.com Participate in industry activities, organizations, and tradeshows as assigned Communicate account issues accurately and promptly and ensure resolution Follow up with accounts to measure satisfaction Demo and close target clients on appropriate solutions Requirements — what is needed to succeed
5+ years in direct and/or indirect sales Experience selling and presenting value-based proposals to executive decision makers in Cybersecurity, Software Development / DevSecOps Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and coordinate internal resources Proven revenue generation and closing track record Experience with MEDDIC/MEDDPIC selling methodologies, revenue strategy, and qualification processes Strong technology aptitude and competence in MS Office, CRM, and SFA tools Proficient with online applications such as SFDC, LinkedIn, Zoom, Teams Experience selling security software is a plus Desire to help clients solve critical business challenges Understanding that Agile approaches are a way of life and learning opportunities from outcomes Sales hunter mindset — forward-looking, honest, and pragmatic Travel within the region as needed What we have to offer
