Director of Client Services – Business Insurance/Property & Casualty Responsibilities

Documentation: Manage the Client Insurance Program, utilizing agency management system. As a matter of routine, manages larger and more complex accounts than the Associate Account Executive. Duties include tasks done directly (higher level) or through other resources (i.e. assigned Account Managers or external resources). Serve as a point of contact with the Producer and initiate correspondence with the marketplace. Act as a contact with vendors to ensure proper processing of requests necessary to effectively maintain the client’s insurance program. Maintain positive client relationships, analyze situations, make reasonable decisions, and follow through. Demonstrate consultative ability to instruct and guide the client. Manage upcoming deadlines and events (perhaps under direction of Executive Team Lead, Sr. Account Executive, or Producer); inform and update the Producer as needed. Manage Accounts Receivable and Direct Billing with respect to Cancellations. Coordinate with Account Managers or external resources to complete: Acord applications (including Supplements) for submissions to Marketing Department and/or carriers; COPE spreadsheets; loss summaries; renewal term proposals; Acord binders; premium finance requests; schedules of insurance; policies for delivery; policy audits and monthly reports; and change requests to client coverages. Perform quality checks on insurance policies and provide guidance in absence of more senior team members when appropriate. Teamwork

Function as a member of the Client Services team to ensure superior service to MMA clients. Delegate tasks to Account Managers and outsourcing teams as appropriate; monitor completion and ensure alignment with job descriptions. Treat clients, prospects, and colleagues with courtesy and respect; contribute to a team approach toward goals and client service. Coordinate and monitor outsourcing teams; support the training and growth of the Account Manager. Technical Expertise

Demonstrate technical expertise to maintain the Client Insurance Program; analyze quotes and make recommendations. Understand and interpret Insurance Contract requirements for Certificates; communicate with carriers and clients as needed. Participate in client-facing meetings in-house or offsite; become proficient with premium analysis software and carrier online rating programs. Maintain knowledge of policy forms and endorsements; explain coverage provisions to clients and Account Managers. Design insurance programs based on defined needs; use the agency management system to monitor activities (policies past expiration, aged AR, SIC codes, etc.). Identify and address coverage gaps with producers, carriers, and clients; develop subject matter expertise in area of interest or capability. Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferred Minimum of 5 years of midmarket Commercial Account Manager experience preferred Completion of CIC and CRM preferred Ability to multi-task and prioritize work; willingness to work beyond scheduled hours to meet client needs Proficiency in Word, Excel, and current internet technologies Proactive work style with ability to learn, analyze, and comprehend commercial lines of insurance Strong client service skills: problem solving, confidentiality, diplomacy, tact, and courtesy Proven track record of client engagement via phone, email, and periodic meetings to achieve mutually desired outcomes We embrace a culture that celebrates and promotes the many backgrounds, heritages and perspectives of our colleagues and clients.
