Overview We are seeking a Salesforce Developer to design, develop, test and deploy Salesforce solutions, primarily for nonprofit and education organizations. You will work with a team that includes a Salesforce architect/team lead and other Salesforce consultants and developers.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test and deploy Apex, LWC, Aura and Visualforce code on the Salesforce platform for nonprofit and education organizations.
Maintain and support code in Salesforce implementations of all shapes and sizes.
Work daily with a team composed of a Salesforce architect/team lead and other Salesforce consultants and developers.
Create unit tests in Apex, LWC and Aura.
Develop using SFDX in Visual Studio Code.
Integrate with 3rd party APIs using Apex or JavaScript.
Implement and maintain AI solutions on the Salesforce platform using Agentforce.
Demo completed work during iteration meetings with customers.
Implement best practices on pro code customizations to minimize technical debt.
Recommend and implement low code customizations if more appropriate than pro code.
Maintain Salesforce certifications.
Acquire new certifications with time on the job for learning.
Write technical articles for dbservices.com.
Requirements
1-2 years working as a developer on the Salesforce platform OR another object-oriented platform such as Java, .NET or JavaScript.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or STEM field.
Nonprofit and/or education experience highly desired.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple projects and accounts.
Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
Works well in a team. Developers will be communicating daily with coworkers and customers and will be working together with both to achieve business outcomes.
Excellent time management with ability to manage to and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with ability to take complex situations and determine optimal solutions for them.
Enjoys learning and keeping up with the latest and greatest in the Salesforce space.
Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
Must reside in Indiana, New York, Texas, Colorado or Michigan.
Bonus Points
Platform Developer I, II or JavaScript I certification.
Nonprofit Cloud consultant certifications (NPC and NPSP).
Education Cloud consultant certification.
Agentforce Specialist certification.
Ability to provide samples of your development work.
UX/UI design experience.
Experience creating mockups in Sketch using the Lightning Design System Plugin.
Experience implementing enterprise design patterns in Apex.
