Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Building Monitor at its Detroit campus location. Provide an added security presence in an assigned campus area by monitoring people entering WSU buildings during normal business hours. Remain in uniform identifying them as part of the Wayne State Police department (non-sworn). Assist in maintaining the normal flow of business by directing and assisting students, staff, and visitors; help keep disruptive persons and non-WSU personnel away from buildings. Use a police radio to request assistance as needed for escorting disruptive individuals. Positioned just inside building entrances at a station with a telephone and may have information about staff and offices in the building. Qualifications

Education: High School diploma. Many monitors are typically retired police personnel or have extensive background in private security. Employment details
