Sr PMT, Productivity Tooling, AWS Training and Certification Base pay range: $136,100.00/yr - $235,200.00/yr

Description AWS Training & Certification is looking for an experienced product leader who is passionate about transforming education on behalf of Amazon and its customers. As a Senior Product Manager, Technical for the AWS Training and Certification’s Skill Builder Core Services team, you will be responsible for the comprehensive technical product strategies around internal tooling related to Productivity and Sales & Delivery that work backwards from the users, considering developer needs as well as security postures. You will envision new ways to solve customer problems, helping organizations and the field create and scale faster, while accelerating starts and simplifying efforts for our users with Generative AI. You will own defining product vision and strategy through deep understanding of customer needs and of latest solutions in AWS and industry technologies. You will also work across a team of product managers to align our overall product roadmap in partnership with product, field, operations, user experience, and technology teams. You will work closely every day with developers and designers to build services and technologies that support delightful access experiences. This role works closely with executive leaders, engineering, and customers, and partners with AWS Field and Service teams to enable customers to innovate with AWS technology.

The successful candidate must have exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business judgement, deep technical understanding, and demonstrated experience influencing both internally and externally at all levels as well as proven ability to execute both strategically, and tactically. This position requires a candidate who is customer focused with a passion for new, ambiguous, industry-defining projects in authentication technologies and profile management.

Key job responsibilities

Obsess over customer needs by working directly with our field teams to engage customers and understand their needs, use cases, and priorities

Dive deep into the requirements that enable our engineering team to deliver with speed, agility, and accuracy

Prioritize initiatives and create product roadmaps to help facilitate focus and trade-off decisions

Develop business cases, strategy, requirements, user stories

Establish metrics and key performance indicators to manage your services and business area

Use metrics to drive improvement and innovation

Partner cross-functionally to launch and go-to-market

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

5+ years of experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition for software products or cloud services, with feature delivery and tradeoffs

5+ years of experience working with engineering teams around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in productivity and management software or services

2+ years of experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

2+ years of experience working in learning management service or technology industries

1+ year of experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
