Overview

The Investment Banking Strategy team plays a pivotal role in shaping Nomura's near and longer-term strategy. The Strategy team works closely with senior leadership on a range of management initiatives including business expansion strategy, market & competitor analysis, business planning and performance reviews, and client strategy. The team works directly with Senior Management to determine the right strategy for reaching Nomura's Investment Banking aspirations across regions in a rapidly changing market environment. Role : Investment Banking Strategy Associate (Corporate Title: Associate) Department : Investment Banking (Wholesale) Location : New York Company : Nomura Pay range at commencement of employment : between $110K and $140K per year* Nearest Major Market : Manhattan Nearest Secondary Market : New York City Responsibilities

Provide analytical support on Investment Banking strategy initiatives, focusing on strategic development, long-term business growth, and overall positioning of the Investment Banking franchise Identify, analyze and monitor issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity Conduct competitor/industry research and analysis leveraging public and non-public sources Research and analyze business profitability and macroeconomic indicators, analyze client segments, conduct acquisition screening, and perform strategic due diligence Prepare management presentations including business plans, business reviews, offsite presentations, and town halls Collaborate with Global Wholesale Strategy on broader firm-wide initiatives Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in a strategy role, consulting, a strategy/business planning unit of a financial institution, or investment banking with a focus on financial institutions Strong analytical skills, including ability to develop financial models and perform data analysis Strong PowerPoint and Excel proficiency Strong communications skills (verbal and written) with ability to interact confidently with senior leadership Interest in the wider Investment Banking industry, including key trends and market dynamics; ability to manage multiple projects Compensation & Benefits
