We are seeking an accountant with an emphasis on accounts payable. This position is suitable for someone with a couple of years or less of accounting experience who wants to grow within a smaller accounting team.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP): Process supplier invoices, ensure accurate coding, reconcile vendor accounts, and manage timely payments across all sites.

Credit Card Reconciliation: Retrieve and review monthly statements, match transactions with receipts and payments, prepare reconciliation templates, and upload finalized reports to Cegid.

Bank Transactions: Record bank entries, perform payables processing, and carry out monthly bank reconciliations.

Tax Compliance: Prepare sales tax returns (UTAH DOR and NC DOR), calculate amounts due, and complete filing and payment on time.

Reporting & Analysis:

Update Recycle and KPI Analysis Reports using actual invoice data.

Retrieve and prepare BioDigester and Used Frying Oil reports.

Perform Small Equipment GL review and analysis.

Financial Documentation:

Prepare PDF binders with supporting GL and supplier invoices.

Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in accounting field strongly preferred.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.

Experience with credit card and bank reconciliations.

Familiarity with tax filing processes and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in accounting systems (Cegid preferred) and MS Excel.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Effective communication for cross-team coordination (e.g., supply team, vendors).

Proactive mindset and ability to take initiative and follow through.

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow, and meet deadlines.

Versatility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities with enthusiasm.

Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.

Location awareness and ability to collaborate with teams across departments.
