Overview
MSAT Data Science and Analytics Associate Director role at GSK. Site-based technical team responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes are capable, compliant and productive while maintaining product quality. The Upper Merion MSAT team delivers data science and analytics solutions to improve business outcomes and works with global MSAT to execute technology transfers and implement process-related improvement programs across the product lifecycle. Responsibilities
Lead a team of data scientists and engineers to leverage data science and data analytics to provide business insights and solve complex technical and business problems. Develop and deploy novel digital models, tools, and visualizations; maintain site databases, models, and infrastructure. Accountable for development and deployment of the strategic data and analytics plan for the Upper Merion site, in collaboration with central digital and analytics teams, to meet customer needs. Drive digital transformation across the site by leveraging tools and solutions to improve technical or site systems and processes (e.g., CMC, technical monitoring, CPV, comparability, investigations, sustainability, manufacturing performance, quality systems and data). Lead capability development of the MSAT team to learn/implement new analytical technologies and modeling systems; manage relationships with internal and external partners to deliver objectives and implement data and analytics platforms. Collaborate with R&D, technology transfer, manufacturing, and quality groups to build informatics solutions that meet customer needs and user experiences. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors with a minimum of 8 years OR Masters (MS) with a minimum of 5 years OR PhD with minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience in data engineering, data science, computer science, or equivalent. Experience in biopharmaceutical or vaccines technologies, R&D and/or manufacturing. Experience in digital, data, and analytics techniques in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. Preferred Qualifications
In-depth experience with digital, data, and analytics techniques in the pharmaceutical industry. Familiarity with relational databases, statistical software (SAS, SIMCA, JMP or WebStatistica), modeling/visualization tools (Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, Power BI). Experience with preprocessing, classification, regression, clustering, dimensionality reduction, and model selection. Experience with development and maintenance of digital infrastructure, including cloud architecture. Experience with manufacturing/engineering environments and systems such as IP-21, M-ERP, LIMS, Aspen eBRs. Experience with industrialization or implementation of models in a GMP environment, and awareness of current industry trends related to data science and data validation. Ability to identify and solve complex technical problems with pace based on business needs and priorities. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to manage a technical and cross-functional team; embraces a collaborative, team-based culture. Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present data science methods to non-statistical team members. Work Setup
