Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr Opportunity: Senior Accounting Manager . Manage and guide property accounting processes within the portfolio, with the main objective of preparing timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and established standards. Provide training to property accounting professionals to achieve highest level of financial compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee property accounting activities across the portfolio, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal policies and GAAP. This role includes training and supporting property accounting teams and collaborating with senior leaders to coordinate financial activities. Responsibilities

Review the monthly balance sheet packs of decentralized properties to ensure timely and accurate accounting records and financial statements, then develop a standardized report of any issues or concerns for the property Controller/Director of Finance after review with the VP of Finance. Develop and implement procedures and training to promote efficient, effective, and timely accounting activities by decentralized property accountants. Review Non-Hersha Trust and Starwood Capital Group cash flow forecasts for reasonableness and coordinate with the VP of Finance prior to submission to ownership; may require preparing cash flow forecasts and providing training to decentralized Controllers/Director of Finance or Centralized Staff Accountants. Perform on-site task force assignments during lapses in coverage within accounting teams and support regional accounting teams as needed due to turnover or PTO. Handle day-to-day requests from property Controllers and on-property staff. Provide financial analysis as required for individual properties or hotel portfolios. Assist with hotel transitions into and out of the portfolio and onboard/train property teams in accounting disciplines. Assist with internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests. Work closely with Regional Directors of Accounting, Controllers, and the VP of Financial Services to coordinate activities between Accounting and Operations. Oversee records management, including organization and coordination of destruction of records as necessary. Ensure compliance with government, company, franchise, and ownership requirements during performance of duties. Follow sustainability guidelines related to HHM’s EarthView program. Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards. Perform other job-related duties as requested by management. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. Expertise in Solomon/BI360/BirchStreet with the ability to train others. Experience in cash flow forecasting required. Experience administering web-based training preferred. Work Environment and Context

Requires sitting for extended periods; use of hands and fingers to operate computers and keyboards. Occasional travel is necessary. What We Believe
