Overview
The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center in partnership with the Vagelos College of Physicians and the Department of Systems Biology/Program for Mathematical Genomics invites applications for an endowed Irving Professorship focused on computational cancer biology including areas of cancer genomics or epigenomics, tumor immunology, computational structural biology, artificial intelligence/machine learning applied to cancer research among other related topics. We are seeking the recruitment of mid-career (senior tenured Associate Professors) or more established investigators (tenured Professors).
Responsibilities
Nomination for membership within the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) and affiliation with one of its four Research Programs.
Access to Shared Resources at discounted rates and engagement with a vibrant community of clinicians and scientists across Columbia University and affiliated institutions.
Education, mentorship, and collaboration within the center and department/division as it relates to cancer research activities.
Qualifications
Ph.D., M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree.
Strong commitment to research, mentoring, and teaching; ability to foster a climate of excellence and diversity.
Qualified Ph.D. and/or MD investigators should have demonstrated scientific productivity with an established NIH and non-NIH funding portfolio, and evidence of recognition in their respective fields.
Salary and Appointment Details
Hiring Salary Range: $175,000 - $375,000
Associate Professor: $175,000 - $300,000
Professor: $275,000 - $375,000
