Position: Open Immediately Work Schedule: Day class(es), (mandatory), and night class(es) starting in fall semester 2025 Summary Instructor - Paralegal Studies
The position involves teaching legal subjects such as Bankruptcy Law, Estates and Trusts, Family Law, Torts, and Workers’ Compensation Law in our ABA-approved Paralegal Studies program. The role requires drawing upon real-life legal case management experience and familiarity with law office practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain accurate academic records, including grades, attendance, and certifications.
Develop and update course curriculum, incorporating current teaching strategies and technology.
Deliver instruction aligned with the course outline and schedule.
Participate in faculty meetings and college activities.
Assist in maintaining ABA approval documentation.
Engage in professional development to stay current in the field.
Advise students on course selection and program completion.
Collaborate with college staff to support student needs and program relevancy.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Class Schedule
Day and Evening classes at LCCC Schnecksville campus and Kutztown University.
Monday through Friday, Fall (August-December) and Spring (January-May) semesters.
Qualifications Required:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution, with at least six years of experience as a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania, including experience with or as a paralegal.
Preferred:
Teaching experience at secondary or college level, familiarity with Learning Management Systems, Hy-flex synchronous teaching experience, and asynchronous course development experience.
