Accounting Manager, Grants & Contracts

to join their team. Job Title: Accounting Manager Job Overview

This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional with leadership experience who is passionate about supporting the Tampa community. Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting for federal, state, and private grants and contracts. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Oversee preparation and review of grant-related journal entries, reconciliations, and reports. Ensure compliance with grant requirements Partner with program staff to provide financial data and ensure proper allocation of grant funding. Monitor grant budgets, track restricted/unrestricted funds, and prepare variance analyses. Support month-end and year-end close processes related to grants and contracts. Assist with annual audit requests and provide required schedules and documentation. Qualifications:

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Nonprofit or grant accounting experience preferred, but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with nonprofit accounting systems (e.g., Blackbaud, Sage Intacct, Workday, Banner) a plus. Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP. What We Offer
