Overview
Sr. Corporate Accountant at RangeWater Real Estate. This position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller with high visibility to corporate leadership. The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the books and records of RangeWater’s investments (including deals in pursuit and active investments) and the books and records of RangeWater’s funds. The role supports process improvements for close, maintains a property database, assists with year-end audit and tax requests, budgeting and reforecasting for corporate entities, and provides timely compliance reporting. This role may have occasional visibility into operating entities to assist other senior corporate accountants. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain the general ledger for the investment entity, RangeWater Capital II (RWC II), including journal entries, bank reconciliations, month-end adjustments, and account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts. Maintain books and records for all RangeWater investment entities within Workday. Maintain the general ledger for the 3 active funds, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, month-end adjustments, and account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts. Review expense reports on a monthly basis. Assist with tax and year-end audit and help prepare work papers and deliverables. Assist Sr Director of Financial Planning & Analysis with budgeting/reforecasting. Manage Compliance reporting for RWC II. Assist in compiling the month-end and quarter-end Corporate financial reporting packages. Prepare and initiate cash transactions (wire / ACH / book transfers) for capital calls, distributions and development deposits. Prepare pursuit cost line of credit draw monthly. Assist in preparing annual 1099 forms for the operating entity. Support management in the execution of projects as needed. Monitor accounting processes and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency and achieve departmental objectives. Must be able to meet predictable attendance and punctuality expectations and physical demands of the position, complying with RangeWater’s policies and performance expectations. Organizational Responsibilities
Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individuals. Practices proper safety techniques and reports any issues to appropriate individuals. Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve the Company’s efficiency, profitability, and productivity. Keeps abreast of current changes in technology, processes, and standards within the industry and applies knowledge and practices to area(s) of responsibility. Work Hours
Company hours of operation are 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Exempt employees are expected to adhere to the standard workweek and work any hours necessary to perform the duties of the job. Must be able to perform essential job functions unaccompanied. Qualifications

BBA or BS in accounting is required ; 2 to 5 years of accounting and real estate industry experience. Language Ability: Demonstrates ability to read, write, and communicate effectively and professionally. Able to write routine reports and correspondence. Math Ability: Demonstrates mathematical skills to complete financial records and fiscal reporting information. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, deal with problems, and understand complex accounting transactions. Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel; proficiency in Workday and other financial planning software; familiarity with real estate accounting software is a plus. Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license; Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment and Physical Demands
The role operates in a professional office environment with standard office equipment. Occasional exposure to outside elements (project sites) where conditions vary. Physical demands include regular use of hands, typing, standing, walking, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds (50 pounds with assistance).
