Overview

MUSC Health seeks an Investment Analyst on site in Charleston. The Foundation manages charitable donations, invests assets, and administers funds for the Medical University of South Carolina and MUSC Health. The Foundation has total assets of over $850 million with long-term and short-term portfolios and a portion of assets in direct real estate. The Investment Analyst will assist the CEO and Portfolio Manager, manage an Investment Analyst and interns, and help ensure investment objectives and policies are followed. Responsibilities

INVESTMENT RESEARCH

Work with CEO / Investment Associate to: Participate in investment manager research and due diligence Schedule manager calls and meetings Document meetings Perform quantitative analysis Write manager recommendation memos Manage the Foundation’s research calendar Maintain manager due diligence files Master analytical tools and databases Perform portfolio analysis – asset allocation modeling, risk analysis Produce investment presentations INVESTMENT OPERATIONS

Work with Investment Associate to: Run Weekly Investment Team Meeting Prepare materials - cash forecast, portfolio allocations Lead discussion on current financial markets Monitor cash balances and asset allocation targets Coordinate with Foundation staff to build cash flow forecasts Recommend periodically rebalancing trades in investment portfolios and cash accounts Review monthly investment reports from managers and consultants Produce reporting for external parties Monitor the Foundation’s operations email account and coordinate responses Maintain relationships with investment consultants, custodians, and other service providers Maintain journal of investment decisions and rationale Work With CFO And Controller To Assist monthly fund allocation process Collect and organize managers’ annual K-1 forms Assist in collection of materials for annual audit Other Collaboration Produce materials for quarterly committee / board meetings Perform analysis as directed by CEO / Investment Associate Pitch in and help where needed Qualifications

Keen interest and basic knowledge of investing, finance, accounting, and statistics Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis Clear writing skills Organized, inquisitive, diligent, and self-directed High standards of work quality and presentation Education : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (2-4 years) Equal opportunity employer statement: The Medical University of South Carolina is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
