Overview Our client is a rapidly growing fashion and lifestyle brand with retail locations across the U.S. This is a newly-created FP&A role –> 1st true finance hire reporting to CFO!!

4 DAYS ONSITE IN NYC MUST HAVE RETAIL/CPG INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain P&L and expense models by channel and function, supporting the annual budget and quarterly forecasts

Partner with merchant planning and inventory teams to incorporate buy plans, COGS, shipping, and retail performance into forecasts

Track and analyze daily KPIs and operational metrics, calling out variances and building sustainable channel-level trends

Work closely with department leads to explain budget vs. actual variances, review GL activity, and document key drivers and accruals

Prepare cash flow models (weekly and monthly), monitor capital expenditures, and develop a working understanding of balance sheet drivers

Provide cost/benefit analysis of operational initiatives including packaging, subscriptions, loyalty programs, and shipping

Create and maintain quarterly forecast and covenant reporting packages for banks and lenders

Use NetSuite ERP and partner with IT to automate and improve reporting processes, ensuring financial systems support scaling needs

Design dashboards and reports using Power BI, Excel, and Power Query to support decision-making across the business

Qualifications

2 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial reporting—ideally in retail, fashion, or consumer products

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Strong financial modeling skills, including cash flow forecasting, margin analysis, and scenario modeling

Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, index/match, lookups); Power BI and Power Query a plus

Experience working with NetSuite ERP or a similar mid-market ERP system

Ability to synthesize data, uncover trends, and communicate insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Comfortable in a scaling environment where systems, processes, and structures are evolving
