Primary Function
Works with industry & universities to develop new technologies and standards. Acts as technical leader within the company, providing technical direction to colleagues and ensuring they have the necessary information for project success. Responsibilities
Identify projects valuable to the company. Utilize CAE software such as Solidworks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, EES, CFD, FEA, etc., and interpret results. Communicate technical material effectively to internal business units. Collaborate with product design and manufacturing teams; lead best practice meetings; contribute to operational excellence. Understand AOS processes and customer needs; participate in industry best practices; demonstrate recognized expertise. Achieve significant technical accomplishments for the company. Balance and prioritize multiple projects within schedule and budget constraints. Coordinate projects with outside funding sources. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. 7+ years of related experience or training. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Stay informed on competitor activities and new product developments. Reputation for expertise and accomplishments. Experience collaborating on patents, trade secrets, or publications. Strong problem-solving skills and project identification ability. Proficiency in discipline-specific CAE software. Effective communication of technical material. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. We Offer
