Overview

Westgate Resorts is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented

Director of Housekeeping

to lead 3 direct reports and an overall team of 75. The role requires strong financial acumen and analytical skills to drive the department’s operations toward the resort’s financial goals while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The Director will exhibit strong leadership, coach team members, and execute initiatives with attention to detail, aligning efforts with the resort's service standards and objectives. Job Responsibilities

Drive department’s operations to achieve or exceed the property’s financial goals and objectives, understanding their impact on the resort's success

Review staffing levels regularly to ensure guest service standards, operational efficiency, and financial objectives are met

Utilize on-the-job training tools to effectively train new room attendants and provide ongoing follow-up training

Ensure policies are administered fairly and consistently; complete disciplinary procedures and documentation according to company standards

Participate in interviewing and hiring processes, selecting team members with appropriate skills and qualifications

Maintain the highest levels of quality by implementing innovative strategies that uphold superior cleanliness

Guarantee daily adherence to the resort’s service standards resulting in exceptional guest satisfaction

Lead, coach, teach, develop, and mentor the housekeeping team

Maximize the resort’s profitability by utilizing financial tools and strategies to improve department profitability, control expenses, and increase productivity

Lead and participate in team efforts to achieve goals while fostering collaboration

Coach leaders and team members on complex issues by breaking them into components, evaluating outcomes, and securing stakeholder agreement

Plan effectively by gathering information, assessing needs, and ensuring appropriate staffing for initiatives

Develop and deliver information persuasively, listen actively, and ensure clear understanding and engagement

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Work Schedule

Must be open to working varied shifts, including weekends and holidays

Experience

7+ years of leadership experience in a hospitality environment with a proven track record of managing and motivating diverse teams

3-5 years in a housekeeping management role within a resort or large-scale hotel (400+ rooms preferred; at least 200 rooms required)

Strong experience managing departmental budgets, controlling expenses, and optimizing operational efficiencies

Experience developing and implementing housekeeping standards, procedures, and training programs

Proven ability to lead initiatives that drive guest satisfaction and maintain high cleanliness and service standards

Labor management experience

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or related field required; experience may be considered in lieu of education

Certification in Housekeeping Management or related field is an advantage

Additional training or certifications in leadership, customer service, or hospitality management is a plus
