Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.
Position Summary
TRC is seeking a motivated mid-level
Air Quality Engineer, Scientist or Meteorologist
with 3-6 years of experience related to air emission compliance and permitting. This Environmental Specialist position will focus on air permitting and air emission regulatory compliance for industrial clients in the
Gulf Coast area . This position will report to the
Houston, TX Office , however working from various locations within the state is a possibility.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Conduct technical work including emission calculations, compliance reports, permit applications, and ensuring federal and state permit compliance, focusing on the Gulf Coast.
Manage technical aspects or project tasks as experience grows.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
3-6 years of air quality experience and a degree in Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or Meteorology.
Experience with air quality regulatory requirements, permits, emissions inventory, and compliance evaluations.
Understanding of Federal and State air quality regulations and policies.
Experience with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Strong communication, data management, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft Access, relationships with agency personnel, and specific industry permits.
Ability to obtain Professional Engineering License in Texas.
Attention to detail, strong listening skills, and client needs anticipation.

Salary range: USD $65,000 - $79,581 per year, with potential bonuses based on performance.
