Overview
Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adolescents aged 12-17 experiencing mental health crises in one of our Adolescent Inpatient Units at the College Hill campus, which features a total of 83 private patient rooms. This role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care. The unit focuses on stabilizing patients through various therapeutic and medical treatments, including group therapy, music therapy, occupational therapy, and more. The facility is designed to offer a supportive environment with private patient rooms and various therapeutic spaces. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for inpatient admissions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy. Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for acute psychiatric conditions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and primary care providers. Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and family consultations. Maintain accurate and timely medical records. Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in the field. Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. Valid medical license to practice in the state of Ohio. Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Benefits
