Conduct and lead health care policy research across areas such as models of insurance coverage and healthcare financing, impacts of Medicaid and Medicare policy on access to care, quality and health outcomes, and shifts in healthcare delivery affecting health inequities (including telehealth and ambulatory care expansion). Collaborate with NYU Langone Health System, NYU Wagner, and external partners on interdisciplinary, translational research and large grants. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, contribute to grant writing, and mentor students and junior researchers. Teach courses (approximately one course per year) and participate in program development within the Department of Population Health and related schools. Lead or contribute to collaborations with state or local health programs (e.g., Medicaid-related initiatives) and communicate results to policymakers and stakeholders. Engage in service, mentorship, and community partnership activities aligned with health equity goals. Qualifications
PhD, DrPH, MD, or equivalent doctoral degree. Demonstrated scholarship through teaching, publications, and extramurally funded research. Strong track record of extramural funding, particularly with NIH funding, is important. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary workforce.
