College Work Study Student - Live Well Peer Coach at City Colleges of Chicago (Daley College). The Federal Work Study Program (FWS) provides subsidized part-time employment for eligible students to assist with educational and living expenses. CCC complies with the Department of Education’s FWS regulations. Primary Objective

The FWS program places students in areas aligned with their field of study to gain relevant experience while earning wages for educational and living expenses. FWS jobs are available in academic departments, libraries, administrative offices, student centers, and other on- or off-campus locations. The Live Well Peer Coach Program

The Live Well Peer Coach Program empowers students to create positive change in their environments. It is student-led and operates through The Wellness Center at Daley College, providing leadership development and experiential practice for student leaders. Live Well Peer Coaches support fellow students during the academic year. Job Duties

Meet with students in designated spaces on campus; The Wellness Center is located in room 2316-B. Facilitate and promote health-related program information on priority college health topics (e.g., sexual health and consent, harm reduction, alcohol and other drugs, healthy relationships, stress, sleep, nutrition, gender-based violence prevention). Develop health-related program information for the student body, including researching college health topics and creating interactive programming related to mental health and gender-based violence. Deliver health-related program information (e.g., composing social media posts for The Wellness Center and Project SAFE, advertising services/events, setting up tables, and implementing activities). Model healthy living to increase student awareness and encourage integration of health information into daily life. Collaborate with Project S.A.F.E. campus coordinators to educate peers on gender-based violence and bystander intervention via classroom presentations. Coordinate outreach to faculty and peers to promote Wellness and Project SAFE programming on campus and across the district (including virtual opportunities). Ensure program information is culturally sensitive and inclusive, recognizing diverse backgrounds and identities. Adhere to The Wellness Center confidentiality policies and participate in professional development and training opportunities. Perform other duties as assigned. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be 16 years or older, have work permit consent, and be eligible to work in the United States. Currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours with at least 12 graduation credits completed; pursuing an approved educational degree. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 (waived for first-semester CCC students with no GPA). In good standing with City Colleges of Chicago (no academic restrictions) and not a current CCC employee. Positions are at-will employment. Available for orientation and Spring training as scheduled by program organizers. Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; currently enrolled at Daley College. Cumulative GPA 2.5 or higher by end of Summer term (waived for certain first-semester students). Completed at least 12 credit hours by a specified date. Knowledge of issues impacting students from historically underrepresented populations and first-generation students. Demonstrated leadership potential; strong ethics and customer service skills; excellent communication skills. Ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff. Compensation

Hourly pay rate: $17–$19 per hour. The offered rate depends on whether the location is on campus or off campus. Equal Opportunity
