Overview Advanced Practice Provider - Float at Community Health Center of Snohomish County (CHC). This role supports multiple clinics as a float provider, delivering medical care across all ages in accordance with the State of Washington Department of Licensing and professional scope of practice. Annual compensation ranges from $117,945 to $155,445 USD with a $3,120 float differential.

Responsibilities

Provide medical care to all age groups as per the State of Washington Department of Licensing and professional scope of practice.

Offer diagnostic and therapeutic medical services with sound medical assessments and treatment plans.

Obtain complete medical histories and physical examinations from patients.

Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Consult with physicians when indicated in managing acute and chronic medical needs.

Order laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as appropriate.

Develop preliminary diagnoses and treatment plans focusing on preventive care.

Educate patients and families regarding health promotion, medications and treatment instructions; connect patients with community resources as needed.

Identify special needs of CHC patients and collaborate with staff to address those needs.

Participate in Quality Improvement and Utilization Management programs as applicable.

Document encounters accurately and timely in the medical record.

Coordinate delivery of care with appropriate clinical staff to ensure quality.

Maintain attendance standards to support daily operations and continuity of patient care.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent; RN with a Master’s degree or post-master’s certificate as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Bachelor’s degree as a Physician Assistant; Education and training in specialized care such as prenatal care, family practice, pediatrics, obstetrics or prenatal is a plus.

Experience: Not less than 0.5 FTE of patient care within the past year; CPT-4 coding experience; ICD-10 coding experience; experience with healthcare information systems (electronic health record and practice management systems); experience in a multi-provider medical practice; experience working with low income, multi-ethnic populations.

Credentials: ARNP license with prescriptive privileges in Washington or Physician Assistant license with prescriptive privileges in Washington; DEA registration; ARNP certification by the ANCC or AANP or PA certification by the NCCPA; Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) within 45 days of employment; successful CHC credentialing and privileging on hire and on re-credentialing.

Preferred: Membership in the American Nurses Association (ANA); bilingual skills.

Other: Washington driver’s license; motor vehicle liability insurance.
