Location: RRMC (Primary), Pentagon Reservation Travel: 40% including extensive field work and site visits Security: Secret clearance required for RRMC forest access Key Responsibilities
Manage Potomac River shoreline environmental initiatives Oversee RRMC forest habitat conservation and management Conduct endangered species compliance assessments Develop natural resources management plans Interface with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and state agencies Support NEPA documentation for natural resources impacts Monitor ecosystem health and biodiversity metrics Experience Requirements
7-12 years natural resources management experience Federal lands management experience preferred Ecosystem management and conservation experience Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Wildlife Biology, Forestry, or Environmental Science Certifications
Certified Wildlife Biologist preferred Professional Wetland Scientist preferred 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required Required Skills
Expertise in natural resources management and conservation Knowledge of Endangered Species Act and habitat requirements Experience with wetlands delineation and permitting GIS and environmental modeling capabilities Understanding of DoD natural resources programs Field research and data collection experience *This Position is Contingent Upon Award.
