Leavitt Group Texas Select in Houston, TX is looking for a
Personal Lines Account Manager
for their busy office. In this position you will be responsible for providing support to the customer and internal sales staff on all Personal Lines Insurance business. Duties include maintaining existing accounts, cross-selling existing accounts, and forwarding submission packages to the appropriate carrier. Customer service will include discussing coverage, recommending coverage, requesting and making policy changes, taking claims information, verifying account information, answering customers’ questions, and generating the appropriate documents.
Responsibilities
Accurately maintain all customer information in the computer system (AMS360).
Know the various company products, underwriting requirements, binding authority, policy forms, rating software programs (upload & download), and competitiveness in the marketplace.
Service all existing personal lines accounts by speaking with customers and company personnel on the phone or in person during office visits and responding to all written correspondence.
Answer coverage questions, recommend coverage, process policy change information, take claim information, collect premiums, submit the proper documents to the company, and verify documents received are correct.
Issue the proper insurance verification documents to the insured (auto id, certificates, etc.).
Resolve customer problems and complaints with assistance/direction from a manager as needed.
Follow up on policies that cancel.
Assist with the collection of premiums and reconciliation of accounts as needed.
Retain renewal business by contacting insureds to review coverage.
Review current underwriting information to qualify customers for improved programs and monitor renewal premiums for excessive increases.
Develop existing accounts by providing additional coverage or cross-selling additional lines of business.
Assist in developing new business by providing accurate quotes, preparing proposals, completing required forms, submitting account information, providing documentation, and verifying accuracy of company documents.
Process daily downloads from carriers, print reports, and verify download policy information is accurate.
Provide monthly renewal account retention reports to management.
Provide product, coverage, and rate training to other agency personnel as needed.
Assist with recommended coverage for customers and stay informed on new products or changes through marketing representatives.
Assist with answering phones and other general office duties as required.
Promote and enhance the reputation of the agency.
Job Requirements / Competencies
Property and Casualty License
Strong sales skills
Knowledge of AMS 360 is a plus
Bilingual is a plus
2-3 years agency experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented and able to maintain compliance standards
Dependable with timely responses and thorough work activities
