Revenue Cycle Analyst

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta . Work with Revenue Cycle leadership to evaluate processes, identify deficiencies, and drive performance improvements. This position updates the charge master to reflect new and updated regulatory and contractual requirements identified by Revenue Cycle, Reimbursement, and Operations. The role produces reporting and provides analytic analysis to Revenue Cycle leadership and other stakeholders at all levels of the organization. It maintains strong partnerships with Information Systems & Technology and serves as the subject matter expert on Epic system master files and pricing/charging functionality (e.g., EAP, Epic Resolute Hospital and Professional Billing) and other related applications. Coordinates activities with IS&T, Budget and Decision Support, Finance, and other departments as they relate to Revenue Cycle systems, metrics, and results. Responsibilities
Run, review, interpret, analyze, and validate Revenue Cycle reports. Ensure data integrity for the revenue cycle and related areas to support informed decision making. Partner with Revenue Cycle leaders and stakeholders to identify and address operational issues affecting Revenue Cycle performance. Conduct revenue cycle analyses and provide trends to identify improvement opportunities. Contribute as a key team member on internal initiatives and projects related to Revenue Cycle data, analytics, and reporting. Coordinate Revenue Cycle system enhancements, upgrades and replacements with IS&T, Supply Chain, and other areas/departments; collaborate with IS&T and external vendors on system, data, and hardware support. Maintain the charge description master and collaborate with clinical departments to ensure appropriate charges are captured for patient services. Assist in researching and resolving charging and billing issues for patient services. Research and interpret regulations to determine charging and billing alternatives and compliance implications in collaboration with operational and Reimbursement staff. Facilitate charge capture and charge reconciliation. Serve as a resource on system charges, charge compliance/capture, and reimbursement/collection impacts; maintain detailed knowledge of Revenue Cycle systems and related software solutions. Experience, Education, and Qualifications
Minimum of one year of experience in health care Revenue Cycle, Finance, Consulting, or related area. Must obtain Epic proficiency within one year of hire. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. No professional certifications required. Preferred Qualifications
Project management experience. Experience with Microsoft Access and SQL reporting. Experience working with Epic systems. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Demonstrated skills in reporting and analytics, including database management, system administration, system applications, and business intelligence tools (SQL Server, QlikView, Tableau). Proficiency in analytical, statistical, and business intelligence tools. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work with detailed financial information accurately and confidentially. Ability to communicate with diverse audiences, including department management, leaders, physicians, and staff, using presentations, spreadsheets, and written documents.
