Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $155,000 to $180,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes by reviewing journal entries and reconciliations. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and respond to audit inquiries. Reconcile and review various balance sheet accounts, including investments, inventory, and revenue cut-offs. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including tax filings and financial reporting standards.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics. Have at least 7+ years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in a progressive management role. Demonstrate experience in public company accounting, including work with Big Four or mid-size accounting firms. Possess a deep understanding of GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), ASC 606, and ASC 805 compliance. Exhibit strong proficiency in financial activities such as consolidations, audit management, and internal controls.
Qualifications
Maintain a proven track record of overseeing accounting functions in environments of growth and change. Apply expertise in financial software, including Excel, NetSuite, and Blackline, to enhance efficiency. Lead accounting teams through digital transformation initiatives and financial system integrations. Communicate effectively using tact and diplomacy when working with employees, vendors, and external agencies. Hold a Certified Public Accountant designation to strengthen financial expertise.
