Trust Officer . This position will be located at
50 S. 200 E. Salt Lake City, UT . This position is responsible for trust account administration and new business acquisition. Salary based on experience. To qualify for this Trust Officer position you must have: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Five to ten years of relevant experience in fiduciary administration and relationship management. CTFA or CFP certifications preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, trust accounting software (AccuTrust), edocument management (Director), workflow forms (Unity), and related trust and investment systems. Excellent written and verbal skills. Adept with high touch communication with clients. Team player who possesses excellent judgment, initiative, and adaptability. Good intrapersonal relationship and service skills.

Regular Duties And Responsibilities
Administration of assigned accounts, including responding to client visits, calls, emails, correspondence and other client requests. Administer the opening and closing of accounts. Account Document Preparation And Review: coordinate with client or clients attorney to review trust or other fiduciary documents as to administrative feasibility & acceptance. Review incoming assets to determine acceptability, transferability, qualification, or disposition. Prepare, provide, or execute governing documents to open and administer the account. Set up and maintain client and account profile info in the trust system. Maintain account opening and closing checklists to confirm accuracy and completion of account set up or closing. Administer fiduciary accounts in compliance with governing documents and applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Prepare, complete, and present account reviews to verify proper administration to Trust Committee. Direct and approve receipts and disbursements for posting: checks, inter-account transfers, ACHs, and wires. Submit discretionary distribution requests for trust accounts. Coordinate with assigned investment advisors to determine and document investment objectives of the account. Monitor account cash balances to assure the investment of funds and the availability of funds for disbursement. Submit and approve trade requests as needed. Confirm completion and accuracy of transactions posted. Administer miscellaneous account assets: real estate, LLCs & partnerships, oil & gas, precious metals, etc. Pay property taxes and insurance; inspect real estate properties; obtain and update valuations of miscellaneous account assets in the trust system. Document Management: establish and maintain account files to retain primary and important documents; scan and index in electronic document management system; send closed and aged files to storage or destruction. Coordinate with tax professionals for tax reporting; confirm accuracy of information for 1099 and 5498 forms; review, sign and file trust tax returns; direct and approve income tax payments and refunds. Receive and withdraw physical assets and documents in and out of the trust vault under dual control. Administer estates: gather, secure, inventory, maintain, value, report and dispose of estate assets. Curate account files and information for annual audit and regulatory exams. Other duties as assigned.
Develop New Business
Build and maintain a network with referral sources such as lawyers, CPAs, investment advisors, and other centers of influence. Respond to referrals from prospects, COIs, and internally. Make formal and informal presentations internally, to prospects, and to referral sources about fiduciary and investment services provided by the bank.
