Manager, SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy
Manager, SEC Reporting & Accounting Policy is responsible for providing advanced accounting skills to research, support and document accounting questions and assist in the Company’s external reporting processes. This position prepares and analyzes financial statements and fulfills complex analysis and reporting requests. This position reports to the Director, External Reporting and Policy and works with other members of the global finance organization to ensure the Company’s external financial statements are prepared in accordance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. This position is ideal for a motivated accounting professional looking to further a career at a growing, multinational public company. What You Will Do
Collaborates with business stakeholders to support external reporting process, including quarterly (form 10-Q), annual (form 10-K), and current (form 8-K) SEC filings. Prepares and maintains supporting documentation. Prepares financial statements, disclosures, and XBRL for quarterly and annual filings, utilizing the Workiva WDesk tool for drafting, XBRL tagging, and submitting filings with the SEC. Assists with the Irish statutory reporting process, including the annual Irish Financial Statements. Collaborates with Investor Relations to prepare quarterly earnings release financials and supporting documentation. Supports the development of accounting policies. Conducts research of new accounting pronouncements and emerging issues to fulfill reporting and analysis needs. As requested, answers complex questions related to accounting policies. Performs ad-hoc analysis and drafts documentation of technical accounting research conclusions. Assist in technical accounting issues such as acquisitions, divestitures, bond issuances, derivative accounting, pension and other health and welfare plan accounting and other projects as needed. Assist in tasks related to acquisitions and divestitures of businesses, as required, such as opening balance sheet accounting. Assist with the monthly financial close process to ensure that all transactions are posted correctly and reflected accurately on the financial reports, including analyzing consolidated results and obtaining explanations for any unexpected results. Supports quarterly reviews and annual audits by independent external auditors. Adheres to SOX compliant policies and procedures. What You Need To Succeed
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required; CPA is also preferred Minimum 5-6 years of public accounting experience with a National Accounting firm 5-8 years of total accounting experience required with preferred experience in external reporting Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines required Experience with the Hyperion consolidation system preferred Why Work for Us?
