Position Reports to: HS Athletic Director/Head Varsity Soccer Coach
Position objective: assist with and lead the current High School soccer program, and assist in developing summer soccer conditioning camps for 5-12th grade girls.
Responsibilities
Assist in coordinating practice sessions and training programs with an emphasis on athletic growth, development, and safety
Attend all practices, games, and tournaments
Collaborate with Head Coach to promote a positive attitude, academic achievement, and personal growth
Comply with all Notre Dame de Sion School policies and procedures
Qualifications
Experience in developing HS Soccer program and players
Evidenced ability to maintain and exemplify high standards of professionalism, leadership, sportsmanship and respect
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, staff, administration, and parents with strong organizational and motivational skills; capable of managing coaching responsibilities on and off campus
Flexibility in work schedule to support student life expectations for teachers and/or coaches
Preferred four-year degree; minimum two (2) years of experience coaching soccer and teaching soccer skills and strategies appropriate to players' skill level
Knowledge of safety measures to ensure well-being of players; experience coordinating with an Athletic Trainer to ensure proper medical and physical training services
CPR/First Aid certification and ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
