Summary:
The Regional Safety Manager is responsible for continuously monitoring and adapting safety procedures and operations to ensure a safe and fully complaint work environment for all employees. Responsibilities:
Develops and implements safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions by performing the following duties.
Develops, implements, and evaluates programs and procedures to ensure personnel and facility safety.
Monitors and controls company\'s safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations.
Develops and implements a program and system to track and evaluate worker injuries.
Investigates industrial accidents to minimize recurrence and prepares accident reports.
Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine if all safety precautions have been included.
Evaluates human activities working with new machinery and equipment to identify hazards.
Tours plant to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities; to identify and correct potential hazards; and to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Determines requirements for safety clothing and devices, and designs, builds, and installs, or directs installation of, safety devices on machinery.
Conducts or coordinates safety and first aid training to educate workers about safety policies, laws, and practices.
Analyze incident reports, metrics, and injury case studies to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.
Inspect, test and evaluate the safety and quality standards and expectations of products and production equipment.
Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that products meet all safety and quality and testing requirements, including operating internal testing labs, and ongoing outsources certified testing.
Prepare, review, and issue environmental and health-related permits in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of all issued permits.
Develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive emergency response plans for the plant, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Design and deliver training programs for all plant personnel on emergency procedures, safety protocols, and the use of emergency equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
BA is advantage.
5+ years manufacturing safety
4+ years’ experience in safety and health program management
Expert understanding of OSHA, and knowledge local safety laws, and other regulatory agencies
Sound/Ethical judgment, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independently
Proficient in MS Office
Bilingual in Spanish - Advantage
