The Opportunity We are currently looking to add a graduate hydrogeologist to support our Supply & Hydrogeology team in Florida. Black & Veatch is seeking a motivated, self-reliant, and detailed-oriented early career professional to join our team. This position will consist of an approximate mix of field and office assignments. Typical projects this person may support include water supply evaluations, installation of groundwater production wells, well testing and analysis, injection wells, quantitative hydrogeology and other tasks associated with hydrogeology and geology. This individual will also be responsible for supporting and evaluating data in the field and in the office, help prepare well permit applications, supporting technical specifications and bid documents, meeting schedules and budgets, and report preparation. The Team Black & Veatch’s Water Supply & Hydrogeology group helps clients achieve their goals for a reliable, sufficient, and sustainable water supply. We provide source water management, water quality evaluations, well rehabilitation, wellfield optimization, conceptual and numerical groundwater modeling, and hydrogeologic solutions that leverage assets and enhance system operability. Key Responsibilities Strong organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, graphical) Adherence to internal company health and safety and other processes and policies Providing professional hydrogeological support for a wide range of domestic and potentially international projects Interpreting federal, state, and local codes, rules, and regulations Preparing proposals, work plans, and reports Working with project technical leads, project managers, and delivery teams to ensure that deliverables meet client needs Evaluating and interpreting collected data for water resources, hydrogeologic, and underground injection control projects Prepare graphical and tabular data summaries Providing competent report writing support Presentation preparation to support findings for clients and technical professionals Oversight of subcontractors and adherence to project specifications and designs Preferred Qualifications Relevant field or internship experience Working proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS or equivalent software Functional understanding of Python or other programming languages Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, Earth Science or Environmental Science required. Certifications Professional licensure track (PE, PG or equivalent) HAZWOPER and/or MSHA safety certifications preferred (and/or able to obtain) BVH, Inc., its subsidiaries and its affiliated companies, complies with all Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations.
