Overview
Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman is seeking a Senior Staff Tax Accountant with ideally entertainment business management experience to join our team. This position is fully in-office out of Century City, CA. The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for the preparation and review of various reports in support of servicing clients, preparation of simple to moderately complex tax returns, as well as tax projections and tax research. Primary Responsibilities
Prepare and review individual, corporate (S corp and C corp), partnership, estate, trust, fiduciary, and exempt organization tax returns Review General Ledger and reports to assist in preparation of tax projections Perform tax research and planning to solve client tax issues Correspondence regarding tax notices, jurisdictional issues, and/or tax audits Prepare closeouts for loan-out corporations and analyze payroll withholding requirements for federal and state Assist in the preparation of financial reports that may include net worth statements, cash flow schedules, meeting packages, budgets, investment analysis, tour reconciliations, etc. Assist with state, local, and international tax clearances for touring artists Assist client service team with other projects, as necessary Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required 4+ years working with loan-out corporations and preparation and review of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns, preferably for entertainment and high-net-worth individuals 3+ years working with CCH Axcess or Pro System Tax software Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Familiarity with AgilLink is a plus CPA or CPA eligibility is highly preferred Solid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical thinking) Ability to learn new systems and process information quickly Strong organization skills with attention to detail About Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman

The annualized base pay range for this role is between $82,755 - $110,000. Actual base pay could vary based on experience, subject matter expertise, location, and skill set. The base pay is one component of total compensation, which may include an annual bonus and benefits. Verification of education and work experience is performed upon offer.
