340B Analyst role at Bon Secours Mercy Health. The 340B Analyst is responsible for 340B compliance, program integrity, and financial optimization of the program within the covered entity(ies) participating in the 340B Drug Discount Program. The Analyst will manage and coordinate 340B activities, configure and maintain software systems, support daily operations to maintain compliant 340B practices, and work on projects as assigned by the 340B Program Manager. The Analyst will collaborate with the 340B Auditor to complete, validate, and document audits related to program compliance and ensure alignment between covered entity operations and 340B Policies and Procedures. The role requires excellent customer service relations with individuals, committees, and other stakeholders in the 340B Program. Essential Job Functions
Coordinates the 340B Drug Pricing Program and maintains the program’s standards. Ensures HRSA requirements for program qualifications are met. Works to continuously improve 340B program performance through program surveillance and optimization. Serves as first step in scoping and escalating operational or compliance issues in collaboration with internal audits and the 340B Auditors. Responsible for immediate communication and escalation of compliance issues or gaps in 340B program operations. Ensures compliant purchasing of 340B medications and provides real-time guidance to pharmacy buyers and staff on purchasing, inventory management, and other practices to maximize 340B compliance and savings. Assists covered entity leadership to provide ongoing training, education and communication required for the 340B program at the entity. Develops internal and external customer service relationships for effective program management. Creates/maintains monthly reports of 340B program metrics and financial savings. Analyzes monthly reports, completes variance reporting, and identifies cost savings and system improvements to maximize compliance. Serves as the split billing software expert to troubleshoot software issues and improve functionality. Works with appropriate teams to ensure 340B software is coordinated and integrated with clinical information system software, including EMR interfaces and interfaces with contract pharmacy providers. Ensures integrity of split billing software and reviews reports to identify improvements. Ensures covered entity utilizes split billing software to place orders compliantly and demonstrate cost savings for the ministry. Triage live-site issues within split billing software, EMR, or charge master related to 340B. Collaborates with Epic charge team and charge master managers on corrective action plans and implementation of changes. Coordinates covered entity issue resolution with split billing software vendor. Ensures appropriate split billing software configurations and updates to align with revenue cycle/charging practices, Epic build, and Bon Secours Mercy Health policies. Serves as primary internal liaison to ensure appropriate utilization of the 340B program and compliance with all program requirements. Escalates identified compliance issues to stakeholders and the 340B Manager. Develops action plans to mitigate compliance concerns and implements approved programmatic changes. Participates in sub-committees of the 340B Executive Oversight Committee to update policies and procedures. Provides education to covered entity pharmacy staff and ensures operations align with 340B policies; collaborates with finance, IT, and other departments to maintain 340B program integrity. Provides ongoing compliance coaching to 340B staff and participants. Participates in system 340B committees and with leadership to develop an internal audit plan. Conducts regular 340B internal audits and data analysis to identify risk and prevent compliance breaches. Documents audit results and communicates results; monitors 340B regulations and attends trainings to ensure ongoing compliance. Works with other pharmacy 340B team members and becomes a subject matter expert in one or more areas: Contract Pharmacy, Policy and Procedure, Data & Reporting, Compliance (Audits), and/or 340B Split Billing Software.
