Overview

The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking applicants for a senior leadership position: Associate or Full Professor and Senior Associate Dean of Academic-Practice Partnerships. This is a full-time, twelve-month, 1.0 FTE appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor, which could be tenure track or non-tenure track depending on background and qualifications. The role provides transformative leadership to foster and sustain strategic partnerships between the College and clinical practice settings, and serves as the operational leader of the faculty practice clinical enterprise. Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership of the Faculty Practice Clinical Enterprise: provide strategic and operational leadership ensuring alignment with the College’s academic, research, and service missions; develop, implement, and evaluate clinical practice initiatives; manage resources, financial performance, and regulatory compliance; build infrastructure to support faculty engagement in clinical practice across diverse care settings. Strategic Leadership and Partnership Development: establish and sustain strategic academic-practice partnerships with healthcare organizations across hospital-based, ambulatory, community, and global settings; align academic programming, clinical operations, and workforce needs; advocate for the College’s role in advancing nursing practice and patient outcomes. Academic-Practice Integration: drive integration of evidence-based practice into curricula and faculty clinical practice; translate research into practice in hospital, ambulatory, community, and global settings; enhance experiential learning opportunities including clinical rotations, residencies, and simulation. Workforce Development: address nursing workforce challenges in partnership with clinical organizations; enhance the pipeline of nurses to meet diverse healthcare needs; collaborate with clinical partners to deliver continuing education and certification programs. Faculty and Student Support: support faculty engagement in clinical practice and practice-based research; leadership in creating practice-based learning opportunities for students; foster collaboration, mentorship, and professional development among faculty and students involved in academic-practice partnerships. Program Evaluation and Accreditation: oversee assessment and outcomes of the faculty practice enterprise and partnerships; ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements; develop and disseminate reports on outcomes and impact. Administrative Leadership: manage resources and budgets; represent the College in forums related to academic-practice partnerships and enterprise development; develop policies to strengthen integration of academic and clinical initiatives across settings. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

DNP or PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution. Eligible for Florida nursing licensure as an advanced practice nurse. A sustained program of research and scholarly activity commensurate with rank. Eligible for appointment as associate or full professor based on research, teaching, and service record. Evidence of progressive leadership positions in clinical practice. Demonstrated commitment to student success and excellence in undergraduate and/or graduate education. Preferred Qualifications

Expertise in mentoring clinical faculty and building teams. Experience establishing clinical partnerships. Financial management skills. Evidence of leadership in the nursing profession. Expertise in grant writing to support the clinical enterprise. Special Instructions To Applicants
