Base pay range: $107,400.00/yr - $200,900.00/yr. What you’ll do
The Negotiator – Assistant Director runs an holistic negotiation strategy, partnering with EY deal teams and clients to achieve value-based outcomes. The role requires business acumen, leadership, and emotional intelligence; thrive in unfamiliar environments and adapt client tactics while preserving deal integrity. Responsibilities
Negotiations: Support the account team to complete negotiations with the client’s lead to move engagements from sold to closed; collaborate with EY sales lead on relationship mapping and tiering; advise on securing client commitment to a close plan; document terms of the deal and obtain client agreement; provide guidance on commercial models for deals; assist in implementing negotiation strategy. Deal Support: Act as a key conduit between the account team and Pursuits & Commercial Excellence leadership; work with business development to strategize on deal opportunities; cascade EY’s negotiation methodology as best practice; build relationships to enable successful implementation; leverage cross-portfolio proximity to integrate methodology across priority deals; foster exceptional client service throughout negotiations. Analytical/Decision Making: Exercise independent judgment to recommend strategies; evaluate strengths/weaknesses of solutions; focus on results under tight timeframes; apply analytical skills to assess risks and dependencies; solve challenging problems efficiently; prioritize activities to meet business needs with high quality; adapt to evolving environments. Knowledge and Skills: Strong business acumen; ability to lead and participate in cross-geography teams; influence without authority; attention to detail and high-quality output under pressure; drive, independence, and ability to handle ambiguity; fluent in technology services contract drafting; strong written and verbal communication; flexible with stakeholders. Supervision: Work independently; manage multiple priorities; direct virtual teams; operate with autonomy. Other Requirements: Embrace a philosophy of trusted advisor, win-win advocate, creativity/innovation driver, and inspirational change agent; flexible hours due to client time zones; travel as needed. Experience: 7+ years in negotiation and contract drafting in technology services; ~4+ years of first-chair negotiation experience; experience in large global organizations; experience leading high-performance teams; Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or master’s preferred.
