Tech2 Solutions (T2S) is a critical subcontractor on the N3B Los Alamos LLC team and will provide program management and technical services in support of the ground & surface water monitoring program at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Los Alamos National Laboratory. T2S is a full-service engineering and environmental consulting company with a worldwide reach in environmental monitoring and remediation, national security, systems engineering, data management and analytics for federal and commercial customers. T2S is adding a Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Surface Water Engineering Team to support the N3B Los Alamos Legacy Cleanup Contract (LLCC). The majority of work will be designing and implementing stormwater corrective actions in support of the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System Individual Permit (NPDES IP) NM0030759, including evaluating site sample history, existing stormwater controls, site characteristics, engineering and construction analysis, and construction oversight. The candidate will ensure all activities and operations are performed in a safe and deliberate manner; will maintain required safety, security and operational training; assure procedural and regulatory compliance; and make safety and security an integral part of every task. Implement IP corrective actions to address stormwater exceedances, including design of controls such as earthen berms, retention basins, gabions, redi-rock blocks, shotcrete caps, low-impact developments, and natural channel designs. Oversee bidding and execution of construction projects of stormwater controls. Perform inspections and oversee maintenance of stormwater controls. Develop cost-effective design layouts based on specifications and requirements. Adhere to established design guidelines and procedures. Analyze design issues and recommend corrective actions. Perform or manage civil, hydrologic, mechanical, and/or electrical design analysis and calculations per project requirements. Determine construction cost and material estimates. Perform field surveys and investigations to prepare engineering drawings. Use the latest software and technologies to develop effective designs. Maintain accurate design files for reference purposes. Consider health, safety, and environmental requirements when developing designs. Manage design projects within allotted timelines and budgets. Perform design changes and improvements according to changing project demands. Complies with all health & safety policies and practices. Other duties in support of the Water Program as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. The career level of the position will be determined by the years of relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The ideal candidate will have or be working towards a Professional Engineer licensure. An understanding of principles, concepts, and construction in civil engineering. Skill and ability to perform basic tasks and to analyze and develop innovative solutions to problems. Ability to work with broad objectives, with latitude to determine the best way to accomplish tasks. Language, mathematical, communication, reasoning, and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions; drafting skills and knowledge of engineering processes preferred. Ability to work in a team-oriented project environment. Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Life At Tetra Tech
