Education: BS/MS/PhD in Food Science, Engineering, or related field
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in Beverage Product Development
Knowledge of food chemistry, sensory analysis, microbiology, food packaging systems, and food engineering
Ability to work with cross-functional teams at multiple levels
Ability to work independently and problem solve
Experience overseeing a team of 2 scientists and 2 lab technicians
Responsibilities:
Conduct research on new products and food development
Develop methods for food processing, production, quality control, and packaging
Support pilot plant work, production scale-ups, and commercialization
Handle customer requests from conception to troubleshooting
Participate in ideation and brainstorming sessions
Develop standards in collaboration with culinary and SME teams
Match and analyze competitive products
Optimize formulations from concept to commercialization
Execute internal processes and troubleshoot customer issues
Engage in customer-facing activities, including technical and culinary presentations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance taste and nutrition
Document research to develop and protect IP
Improve food quality attributes like flavor, color, texture, and nutritional value
Complete projects within customer timelines
Travel to production plants and customer sites
Must be able to taste and smell chemicals, flavors, and foods
Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
