Overview

Consultant, FPA & Controlling, TEMP role at Guerlain. This is a Temporary role lasting 5-6 months. Objective: Provide Financial Planning, Analysis, and Controlling for Guerlain’s US-based business. Responsibilities

Internal reporting: Reports to VP, Finance with operational reporting to the brand General Manager; no direct reports. External partnerships: Work with vendors, suppliers, agencies, and the Paris finance team; partner with the local General Manager. Finance partnership: Daily collaboration with VP Omnichannel Sales to monitor trends and identify risks & opportunities. Planning and targets: Proactively monitor yearly and monthly financial targets with the team; construct and monitor budgets (Revised 1), three-year plan (2027-2029), and forecasts (sales outlooks and landing). Decision support: Provide accurate financial information to support management decisions; deliver monthly analysis on financial risks & opportunities using KPIs. Close processes: Lead monthly closing; perform detailed budget vs. actual variance analyses for P&L and ledger accounts; compute accruals with backups for month-end closing. Accounts review: Analyze balance sheet accounts and formalize reconciliations to maintain clean accounts; clear accounts receivable balances monthly. Process understanding: Learn components and processes in each P&L line; challenge costs and allocations; validate local income statement and balance sheet. Cross-functional collaboration: Work with Business Partnership Center (Accounting, IT, Forecasting, Purchasing, Customer Service, etc.); approve internal ePOs and purchase orders; code invoices and control invoicing flows; keep AX and Medius approval workflows up to date. HQ liaison: Manage relationships and communications with HQ in Paris, including tariffs updates. Ad hoc work: Assist on related reports and projects as needed. Profile / Qualifications

Relevant FP&A experience, preferably in luxury, retail, or beauty industries. Strong track record of high accuracy, detail orientation, and data reporting precision. Ability to work in a time-sensitive, accurate environment; prioritization and multi-tasking skills; self-management with strategic agility. Entrepreneurial drive; initiative and ability to work independently. Discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information; clear, concise communication; ability to tell a data-driven narrative.
