The Retail Banker I is a customer liaison that is integral to delivering TD’s Brand promise by utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist Customers with their banking solutions/needs. This role contributes to the achievement of business objectives that enable growth through identifying appropriate TD solutions that help Customers achieve their financial goals and optimize their relationship with TD. Responsibilities
Proficient in products, services and routine transactions to educate customers on Bank products and services or refer to the appropriate team member while ensuring a positive Customer experience Establishes and nurtures Customer relationships by displaying product knowledge and actively listening to Customer needs Makes product recommendations based on Customer needs and highlights product features and benefits Utilizes Customer relationship management tools to identify solutions and lead-focused outbound sales activities Independently resolves customer issues, errors and problems, escalating when necessary Engages in conversations with customers about loan products and facilitates the application intake Maintains active NMLS registration status Education & Experience
HS Diploma or GED 1+ years' experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity or equivalent demonstrated through volunteering, education, or military experience Teller experience preferred Must be able to complete teller training upon hire Demonstrated ability to engage in customer conversations while educating them on products and services Strong organization, communication, and prioritization skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Notary License (Preferred) Customer Accountabilities
Deliver Legendary customer experience by helping customers, building relationships, and delivering service and advice Provide end-to-end advice, consultative support, and proactive insights Act as a customer advocate and educate customers on self-service options including digital channels Assist with lobby leadership, guiding customers and identifying initial needs May perform teller transactions and adhere to risk management standards Maintain TD brand standards in interactions Shareholder & Employee Accountabilities
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and TD policies; participate in risk and control activities Contribute to operational excellence and teamwork; participate in development activities Adhere to TD’s Shared Commitments and code of conduct Foster an inclusive culture and services aligned to TD’s diversity agenda Engage in ongoing feedback and career development opportunities Collaborate with partner bankers to make effective referrals Maintain a positive work environment and focus on quality and delivery Physical Requirements
