The Audit Services Division is responsible for the review, analysis, and conduct of full scope audits of businesses and/or individuals, to determine compliance or non-compliance with Oklahoma and Federal tax laws and regulations. Auditors use generally accepted auditing/accounting principles to review financial documents, tax forms, business records, and other relevant documents. Auditors prepare audit reports with recommendations and adhere to confidentiality requirements of tax information. Salary

Salary: $60,000.00 Benefits

Compile and submit audit review packets. Review Internal Revenue and Oklahoma tax statutes. Provide written and verbal communication and customer service to taxpayers. Create, print, review and distribute audit correspondence items. Attend mandatory training. Other duties as assigned. Corporate Income

Ensure taxpayer compliance with Corporate Income tax statutes and rules by reviewing and auditing corporate, small business, partnership, tax-exempt entity, and fiduciary tax returns submitted to the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Review business and individual returns to identify areas of non-compliance and filing irregularities. Analyze and audit business financial records, including various tax returns and related reports. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or public administration; or four (4) years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, finance, or a related field. OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that equals an associate degree or the required amount of professional experience. Preferred Qualifications

CPA or CIA certification. Proficient with Microsoft Suite applications. More than four (4) years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, finance, or related field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Auditing methodology, techniques, and theories Generally accepted auditing rules and procedures Bookkeeping practices and standards Financial statements, ledgers, journals and reports Federal and state income tax forms Modern computer technology related to accounting systems Written and verbal communication Excellent customer service Interpersonal communication and relationship management Prioritization Problem solving and critical thinking Using different technology programs and applications Travel, Physical Demands and Work Environment

Full Scope Business Auditors may be required to travel as business needs arise. Possession and maintenance of a valid Oklahoma State Driver’s License is required. Ability to sit/stand for extended periods; operate computer and office equipment; lift up to 15 pounds. Telework may be required; applicant must be willing and able to work on-site and via telework with a secure internet connection. Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or four (4) years of related professional experience or an equivalent combination thereof. Special Notes
