Underwriting Manager, Northeast Zone

Location: New York, NY AIG’s underwriting teams provide insurance solutions across various areas, including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. We aim to unlock the full potential of our colleagues, empowering professional growth and adding value for our customers and AIG. Key Responsibilities

Manage premium levels for Environmental products such as Contractor’s Pollution Liability, combined form primary General Liability and Pollution Liability, Excess, and Commercial Automobile. Drive underwriting best practices, ensure rate and pricing adequacy, and adherence to guidelines across the Northeast Zone. Manage renewal and new business objectives, developing strategies to achieve growth targets. Develop and maintain broker relationships within the zone. Participate in relationship management and account stewardship activities. Collaborate with other managers to develop cross-marketing strategies. Oversee team expenses and underwriting quality review processes. Train, manage, and develop underwriting staff in the zone. Qualifications

5+ years of insurance industry experience, preferably in Environmental Pollution and/or Casualty insurance. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. People management experience and ability to work across multiple areas. Knowledge of underwriting practices, market segmentation, portfolio management, and process systems. Compensation and Benefits
