Position Summary The Department of Accounting at the Anderson School of Management is seeking to fill the position of
Assistant Professor in Accounting
to begin
August 2026 , depending on funding approval.
About the School and Programs The Anderson School of Management is accredited by the
AACSB International
and offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with eight concentrations, specialized Master\'s degrees in Accounting, Project Management, and Cybersecurity & Analytics, an MBA with 11 tracks, and an Executive MBA for working professionals. The Accounting faculty supports the BBA, MACCT, and MBA programs, including an online tax certification.
Responsibilities Teaching responsibilities for this position include undergraduate and graduate courses in tax.
The Department of Accounting is a cohesive group seeking colleagues who demonstrate a willingness to contribute to maintaining and building a strong accounting program, including a positive relationship with the profession.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an earned doctorate or have a strong prospect for completing a doctorate in Accounting or a closely related field by August 2026.
Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of or promise of a significant program of research and scholarship
Evidence of excellence or promise of achieving excellence in teaching tax core and elective courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the university\'s mission to serve local and global communities
