Aimbridge Corporate - Senior Accountant (Centralized Task Force) Address: 5301 Headquarters Drive, Plano, TX, 75024 Job Description Responsible for supporting the Centralized Accounting function by covering staff accounting for teams with temporary open headcount. Assists Director of Central Accounting with management of assigned hotels' financial information and prepares financial statements for business units in a timely and accurate manner while creating a positive working environment. The incumbent will be expected to provide support and oversight of changing accounts, reconciliations, reporting, and processes for properties, as defined and established by leadership. Responsible for overseeing the efficient processing of related information according to Aimbridge Hospitality Standards. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with at least 2+ years of experience required. Experience in multi-unit real estate/hospitality accounting environment a plus. Strong knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and business intelligence and reporting tools. Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel (mid-level preferred). Flexibility to adjust to the needs of different property/owner teams as necessary. Ability to learn new technology quickly. Clear understanding of General Ledger concepts. Ability to work with deadlines and take a creative approach to problem resolution. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks. Advanced written and oral communication skills necessary for meeting the needs of changing property/owner teams. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures all financial records are maintained in compliance with company’s policies & procedures. Analyzes and reconciles any accounting discrepancies and ensures accurate and timely monthly and annual G/L close. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare monthly and annual financial statements for multiple properties. Prepares financial management reports and ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met. Prepares month-end journal entries and P&L corrections. Analyzes and reconciles balance sheet activity including FF&E, depreciation, loans, escrow, and equity accounts. Responsible for performing Staff Accounting responsibilities for property/owner where turnover has occurred, and headcount is open. Assists in the analysis and explanations given to outside ownership entities. Assists in the preparation of documents and analysis for annual audit. Special projects as assigned by management. May be responsible for training new Staff Accountants when open headcounts are filled for the owner/property currently being supported. BENEFITS: Now offering
