Tax Senior

You will have the opportunity to work on both SEC and closely held clients across diverse industry groups, with fast-track career progression. Responsibilities: Perform technical review and approval of all tax returns and governmental tax examinations of any complexity. Take full responsibility for larger tax returns and delegate tasks to tax preparers as needed. Demonstrate thorough knowledge and proficiency in advanced technical skills to advise clients. Complete all tasks related to client service within budgeted time. Participate actively in client meetings and tax planning to assist with larger clients. Serve as a resource for tax preparers and staff on specific tax issues. Handle tax preparation for complex business returns. Manage client relationships delegated from the Tax Manager or Partners. Communicate important tax developments to firm personnel. Manage governmental tax examinations and represent clients before taxing authorities. Ensure the smooth flow of tax returns through the preparation system for accurate and timely delivery. Maintain accurate billing and collection processes. Contribute to practice development through industry and community involvement. Supervisory Responsibilities: Develop, coach, and train semi-seniors and staff accountants. Assess qualifications of tax staff for training needs. Participate in reviews and evaluations of the Tax Department. Qualifications: Minimum two years' experience in public accounting with increasing tax complexity. Familiarity with US domestic and international tax compliance for HNW individuals, pass-through entities, and corporations. At least one year supervising tax preparers. Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; Master’s preferred.
