As part of our centralized Accounting team based in Houston, TX, you\u2019ll support a company that serves millions of meals daily across schools, healthcare facilities, senior living communities, and more. We\u2019re looking for a self-driven and solutions-oriented Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced and evolving accounting organization. In this role, you\u2019ll be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant financial records by entering and reconciling transactions, managing multiple company accounts, and preparing detailed schedules for internal and external audits. You\u2019ll also assist with a variety of reporting and administrative tasks as we continue to streamline and enhance our processes. Overview

Position: Staff Accountant Location: Onsite in Houston, TX four days per week; remote option one day per week. Office address: 4920 Westway Park Blvd, Houston, TX 77041. Department: Centralized Accounting What you\u2019ll be doing

Enter financial data into accounting systems, including posting general ledger and journal entries, and verify the accuracy of daily transactions across multiple entities. Prepare weekly and monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and key income statement accounts. Maintain accurate account balances and monitor bank statement activity. Record month-end accruals and ensure proper allocation of transactions to the correct legal entities. Oversee compliance with company policies and procedures for assigned areas; identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements. Support internal teams with ad-hoc reporting, data analysis, and information requests. Assist with the preparation and coordination of statutory audits. Contribute to special projects and initiatives as directed by management. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and/or IFRS. Build and maintain PowerBI dashboards to visualize financial data, support reconciliations, monitor account activity, and provide actionable insights for audits, reporting, and special projects. What we\u2019re looking for

Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in high-volume environments Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word ERP experience (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP, SAP) Knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, month-end close, internal controls, and audit processes Experience supporting multiple locations or remote teams Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical accounting skills Able to meet deadlines and manage shifting priorities Where you\u2019ll be working

You will work onsite at our new corporate office in Houston, TX four days a week, with the option to work remotely one day per week. Our office is located at 4920 Westway Park Blvd, Houston, TX 77041. Compensation
