Audit hospital/clinic coded charts and provide written reports with findings and recommendations Analyze financial impact following audit activities based on various review types including PPS, CAH, and Professional Physician services Provide consultant services to non-employer facilities on ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding and reimbursement issues Coordinate education for coders, physicians, and hospital staff on coding and billing findings related to audits Serve as a liaison between hospitals, clinics, and employer committees for data collection of patient health information What is Required (Qualifications)
Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician-based (CCS-P) certification from AHIMA Ability to work specified hours and perform essential job functions satisfactorily Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field Tags
